Simulcast 2020

Cover for Simulcast, the instrumental version of Weather. I came across this photo by Dimitri Sovyak adn felt it was the perfect companion to the cover from weather (fig.8) with the subjects in similar poses but in different environments at different points in their lives. This album was about finding perspective on where I had been and where I was going, drawing from the past and re-centering. I had begun to feel like I was carrying a lot of weight, visions never realized, journeys never finished. This album was about making peace with that and letting go so I could move on to what was next. I saw myself as the boy in the photo, a long journey through foreign places with the ocean behind me, resting and taking stock before taking on new challenges ahead.
