XX Golden 1 2017

The one and only time we got to play an arena! Crazy experience, our dressing rooms were the Sacramento King’s locker rooms. The place was massive and the XX’s production was nuts. The Golden 1 Center is 3 blocks from the apartment where I made Past is Prologue and Science of Patterns. This was a big homecoming show for us so I wanted to draw from some elements from my time living in Sacramento. I decided to build a new image around the flowers from the cover of Past is Prologue, darkening things up a little and creating a kind of liquid psychedelic vibe. I also threw in some Avant Garde Gothic Bold for good measure.
